This privacy policy explains which personal data EL-BG processes when you visit el-bg.nl or contact us, why we do so, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch: AVG). This English version is a translation of the Dutch Privacyverklaring. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.

2. What data do we process and why?
2.1 Quote request through the contact form
When you fill in the form on the website, we receive the data you enter yourself:
- type of request (home or business);
- name (required);
- phone number and/or email address (at least one is required);
- town (optional);
- your message about the work you need (required);
- if you used the consumer unit (groepenkast) configurator on the website: the layout you chose there (for example the number of circuits and devices such as an EV charger or heat pump);
- the language of the page you sent the form from (Dutch or English).
The form also contains a hidden field that only serves to stop spam robots. It does not store any of your data.
When you send the form, our form service Formspree (see section 4) also receives technical data that your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address and browser type.
Purpose: to answer your request, contact you, prepare a quote and schedule the work.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you request a quote on behalf of a company, we process your data as the contact person based on our legitimate interest in answering business requests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Please do not include sensitive information in your message that we do not need to answer your request.
2.2 Contact by phone, email or WhatsApp
If you call us, email us or send a WhatsApp message, we process your phone number or email address, your name and the content of your message, including any photos you send (for example of your meter cupboard).
Purpose and legal basis: as in section 2.1.
The WhatsApp button on the website opens WhatsApp, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). The website itself does not send any data to WhatsApp. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply.
2.3 If you become a customer
If you hire us, we also process the data needed to carry out and invoice the work, such as your name, the address where we work, your contact details and billing details.
Legal basis: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the legal obligation to keep business records (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
2.4 Visiting the website (hosting)
The website is hosted by Netlify (see section 4). On every visit, Netlify's servers process technical data needed to deliver the pages to your browser and keep the website secure, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser and device type.
Purpose: to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix problems.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
EL-BG does not use this data to track visitors or build profiles.

That is why we show no cookie notice and do not ask for cookie consent. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
